Student Worker for the Office of Teacher Education

The Office of Teacher Education (OTE) is responsible for arranging field experiences and student teaching experiences for BSU teacher candidates, coordinating the advising for education students, processing licenses for teacher candidates, collecting and analyzing data for program evaluation and improvement, and directing the assessment and accreditation for BSU’s teacher preparation programs.
 
We are looking for a student worker who takes initiative, demonstrates attention to detail, has a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, is able to learn new technologies quickly, and has excellent oral and written communication skills. This is a busy position with plenty of work to get done daily. This position will be 15-20 hours per week, and we will work around your class schedule.
 
Typical tasks for this position include:
Greeting guests and routing them to appropriate offices/staff
Answering phone calls and transferring/taking messages when necessary
Handling confidential documents and information
Inputting/cross-checking/retrieving data using multiple electronic/digital systems
Creating/editing/proofreading documents with Microsoft Suite and Google products
Using standard office equipment (PC, copier/scanner, fax, phone, etc.)
Copying and organizing documents for admissions folders and orientation events
Assisting with running events, creating displays, and running errands on campus
Helping to maintain a clean and organized workspace
