University Ambassador/Tour Guide
Position Description:
If you’re interested in helping other students find their way to Bemidji State University, we want to hear from you! The Office of Admissions is hiring University Ambassadors who do this daily. University Ambassadors (UAs) conduct walking tours of campus, appear on student panels, and participate in special events related to recruitment.
Being a UA is ideal for those who are involved with other on-campus organizations or employment. We want you to share your experiences at BSU as you interact with prospective students and their support system. All tour guides are fully trained before leading their own groups, and you’d be leading one to two tours per week. Weekday tour shifts are 10:00-11:30 AM, and 1:00-2:30 PM, and we also host a variety of other tours for visiting groups or events. Times for group tours and events vary.
Students working in Admissions have the opportunity to positively impact enrollment and retention at BSU. The prestigious title of University Ambassador is recognized in the professional world as a position that has helped students develop strong communication, marketing, and leadership skills.

UAs are expected to stay in good academic standing during employment

Salary:
Work Study or Regular Payroll
0-750 hours worked - $12.50/hr
751-1000 hours worked - $13.00/hr
1001+ hours worked - $13.50/hr
